OpenPolicy and leading innovative companies are collaborating with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute Consortium to lay the foundation for AI safety across the world. We wiill be joining more than 200 of the nation’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) stakeholders to participate in a Department of Commerce initiative to support the development and deployment of trustworthy and safe AI.
The consortium will be housed under the U.S. AI Safety Institute (USAISI) and will contribute to priority actions outlined in President Biden’s landmark Executive Order, including developing guidelines for red-teaming, capability evaluations, risk management, safety and security, and watermarking synthetic content.
“Through President Biden’s landmark Executive Order, we will ensure America is at the front of the pack – and by working with this group of leaders from industry, civil society, and academia, together we can confront these challenges to develop the measurements and standards we need to maintain America’s competitive edge and develop AI responsibly.”
Today, in what has been not less than a herculean effort to file an Amicus Brief on behalf of the CISO and security professional community to the court in the matter of the SEC v. SolarWinds and Tim Brown, thirty current and former chief information security officers (CISOs), leading cybersecurity organizations, and professional raised their voice and filed a critical Amicus Brief to educate the court on the third-party impact of the case on the CISO, technology and broader cyber ecosystem. OpenPolicy convened leading companies to share a statement of support with the WhiteHouse.
As innovators and VCs from all over the world we gathered to celebrate the wonder of tech entrepreneurship, the Israeli innovation ecosystem and its supporters are fighting a war over its existence, a war against terror.
Our #TechWeekNYC event was focused on standing with Israel and the mobilization of the Israeli innovation ecosystem and the investors that support it. Following an address by the Deputy Chief of the Israeli Mission to the US, Eliav Benjamin, with an overview from the front lines on the use of innovation to stop misinformation and attacks, a panel, honored by the Israeli Acting Consul General to New York, Tsach Saar, which has shared what innovators, VCs and Investors can do to support Israel and the situation.
We stand united with a strong message on our stance with Israel. Supporting innovation, is fighting against terror.
